There is a new LEGO Super Heroes sub-theme coming next year called LEGO Super Heroes Mighty Micros. They are somewhat like the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters with tiny version of spaceships and other vehicles, but while LEGO Super Heroes Microfighters come with the standard size minifigures, in LEGO Super Heroes Mighty Micros the minifigs themselves are cutified with short legs, simplified torso prints, and adorable faces. I expect this theme to be very popular with kids and collectors alike.

The first wave of LEGO Super Heroes Mighty Micros will include six sets; three from the DC line, and three from Marvel. Each set includes two miniature vehicles and two minifigures. The LEGO DC Comics Mighty Microsline includes the following sets: #76061 LEGO Super Heroes Batman vs. Catwoman, #76062 LEGO Super Heroes Robin vs. Bane, and #76068 LEGO Super Heroes The Flash vs. Captain Cold. The LEGO Marvel Mighty Microsline includes the following sets: #76064 LEGO Super Heroes Spiderman vs. Green Goblin, #76065 LEGO Super Heroes Captain America vs. Red Skull,and #76066 LEGO Super Heroes Hulk vs. Ultron.

The LEGO Super Heroes Mighty Micros sets should be available sometime in the spring of 2016. And as I mentioned above, I expect it to be a very popular line. Who won’t like chibi-size vehicles and cute Super Hero minifigs? Hopefully LEGO will continue with other vehicles and characters.

On another note, it seems like LEGO Super Heroes is going to have a very strong year in 2016, with some really excellent sets, and new minifigures. All pictures here are from the 2016 German LEGO Catalog, that was released just a few days ago.
